![]() ![]() Every one of this pieces of software has an option to delete files instantly - commonly it's Shift+Del (instead of Del), but it may vary, depending on what you are using. You haven't specified what you are using - Gnome, KDE, XFCE, MATE, Unity, etc, or which file manager - Nautilus, Dolphin, Thunar, PCManFM, mc, etc. What does create this Trash folder is the Desktop Environment and the file manager software that you're using. If you do minimal network install of Linux, you have only terminal input and no such thing as a temporary trash folder (as in Windows). In fact, the "core" (to put it simply) of Linux doesn't even have the concept of 'Recycle Bin'. It doesn't involve anything like Recycle Bin. B being a backup made a year ago, A had many files B did not. Unfortunately, I switched the two, the source A became the target and the target B became the source. Go to Deleted files / Recycle Bin > go to the OneDrive folder > choose the permanently deleted data > click Recover x files. I started a sync process between two hard drives. Also, Date modified, Type, Size, Path, etc., help you sort the searched files. The default way of deleting files on Linux is rm command. Input filenames or extensions to find out what you need faster if you can still recall. How is this not a common option under Linux. Luckily your settings are configured to delete data from the target and put it into the Recycle Bin instead of permanently deleting them. Go to 'Control Panel' and select 'System and Security' to access the appropriate settings. I would think Linux is more customizable then windows. FreeFileSync is best of its kind backup and file sync software for all major. But lets say I was using a program that didn't. ![]() However on the android version, they are all there in all their glory - tens of thousands of them. Files can be deleted in Recycle Bin or permanently, can show errors, copy locked folders or not, copy NTFS permissions.
